Most of the Management Teachers are consciously aware that they are expected to prepare the new management students as global managers with the required vision not only to face the challenges in their job, but also be able to create new products and services and reach out to new markets to meet the growing global needs.This highly complex and fast-paced scenario is challenging to the Management Faculty as they should first understand the wide spectrum of the business world, In general, and secondly, specialize in their own discipline in a more focused way, and thirdly, upgrade their soft skills,and teachingskills and methods.
The Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) has as one of its main objectives, the improvement of the quality of Management Education in India and quality in management education needs quality faculty. A product of Delhi University, with an MBA from Indiana University, USA. Professor Bhushan has been the Senior Advisor at IBS-Mumbai and concurrently Vice Chancellor of ICFAI University,Meghalaya in North East India.He has over 55 years of teaching at some important institutes and headed the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies and Bankers' Training Institute. An awardee of 'The Visionary Leader' by the Stars of Industry Group and DNA, he had many other prestigious awards for his institution building efforts and achievement in management education, and held several positions of leadership in professional bodies of management education in India and in the South Asian region.He is currently President Emeritus of ISTD and fanner President of AIMS,AMDISA and ISTD.
Prof.Mohd Masood Ahmed
A Professor of Healthcare Management with five post-graduate degrees, one each in Management, Commerce, Economics, Psychology and Management Research and over 20 years of experience in teaching management,and training and consultancy in Healthcare, Prof Masood Ahmed is presently President of AIMS. He is principal of Deccan School of Management and a visiting professor at Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and University of
Hyderabad. He is on the Boards of Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA), Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD),and Association of Health & Hospital Administration(AHHA).
Dr. Bhavesh M. Patel
With thirty six years of reach academic experience spread at XLRI, California State University,Myers University, S P University and PDPU, currently Dr.Bhavesh Patel is working as a dean of Amrut Mody School of Management, Ahmedabad University, Ahmedabad. Apart from teaching several courses in the area of accounting and finance,he has also developed some integrated business management games and decision support systems in finance management. An experienced business consultant and trainer, Prof. Bahvesh Patel has also authored four books. He has several publications to his credits in India and abroad. He is associated with eleven refereed journal out of which in three he has served as a Managing Editor. He is a cofounder of International Academy of Business and Economics where he has served as a president.
